1/2/2018

DUPLIN COUNTY EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT

ASSESSMENT OF UPCOMING WINTER STORM (1/3/18)

The National Weather Service believes we will see 1-4 inches of accumulating snow in Duplin County. These totals are expected to be higher in the Eastern portions of the county, and gradually reduce moving Westward. Effects should start Wednesday afternoon as rain with low possibility of some ice. Precipitation should transition to snow near sunset, and subside around sunrise on Thursday (1/4/18). Please make needed preparations now. Please plan to stay off roadways during and after the storm unless absolutely necessary. Roadways may be very dangerous due to ice and snow.
