Notice Regarding COVID-19

The Town of Greenevers is closely monitoring the Coronavirus (COVID-19) developments to keep our community and staff healthy and safe. If you have any symptoms such as fever, cough or difficulty breathing, or if you have been to an affected area recently, we ask that you do not enter any of our town facilities. If you need to make a utility payment you may use any of following payment options listed below.
Greenevers Fireman's Day Parade & Activities

The Greenevers Fireman’s Day Parade and corresponding events scheduled for Saturday, April 25, 2020 have been cancelled due to the Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic. The annual ticket raffle held by the Greenevers VFD will continue as planned. Tickets are $1 and are available for purchase from any Greenevers VFD fireman, parade committee member, or at the Greenevers Town Hall. The drawing will be held on Saturday, April 25th at 3 PM. Prizes are as follows:

Our constant goal is to provide you with a safe and dependable supply of drinking water. We want you to understand the efforts we make to continually improve the water treatment process and protect our water resources. We are committed to ensuring the quality of your water and to providing you with this information because informed customers are our best allies. If you have any questions about this report or concerning your water, please contact us at 910-289-3078. We want our valued customers to be informed about their water utility. If you want to learn more, please attend any of our regularly scheduled meetings. They are held at Greenevers Town Hall on the Monday after the second Sunday of each month at 7:00 PM.
Greenevers VFD Fireman's Day Parade 4/27/19

Please join us Saturday April 27th for a day of fun and food!!! Parade begins at 10 AM, followed by BBQ and BBQ Chicken plate sell at the Greenevers Community Center, games & rides, entertainment and more. We are also selling $1 raffle tickets for operation of our department. 2 TVs will be given away followed by cash prizes! See any member or drop by the town hall to buy your tickets!!!

LOCAL WELLHEAD PROTECTION PROGRAM PLAN (LWHPPP) APPROVED

The Town Greenevers is pleased to announce that the draft Local Wellhead Protection Program Plan has been approved by the State of North Carolina, Environmental Quality. This plan was developed by the Town of Greenevers, with assistance from the North Carolina Rural Water Association, and input gathered from the public. This is a voluntary program intended to assist us in protecting the system’s water supply from contamination, and to identify vulnerable areas around our wells called the “Wellhead Protection Areas”. Another goal of this program is to make residents and businesses aware that chemicals and other pollutants spilled or dumped in the vicinity of the “Wellhead Protection Areas” can be drawn into the wells, possibly contaminating the system’s drinking water supply.

Recently some customers reported being directed to a website called DOXO to pay their bill online. We would like to state that the Town of Greenevers is in no way affilliated with this service. If you have questions or are unsure please call the office at (910) 289-3078.
